Title: Indonesia Market Assessment

 Thomas J. Payne Market Development (TJPMD), on behalf of the US Highbush Blueberry Council seeks a proposal for a market assessment of the Indonesian Food Industry to be conducted from November 2015 to June 30, 2016.   Consultant will follow a market assess template to be provided by TJPMD which covers the following:

1. Describe the food and rural business system; channels of import and distribution, cultural differences (language, attitudes and perceptions toward U.S. imports), demographics and economy (basic market characteristics), pricing/currency factors that have an effect on U.S. exports.

1.1 local production (if any) usage tradition specific to the country.

1.2 Constraints or difficulties to import. (Duties, barriers)

1.3 Outline of the  Indonesian Food industry.  Size, sectors, trends pertinent to processed fruit.

1.4. Import and distribution channels, players and channel partners.

1.5 Current blueberry usage in food industry

1.6  Potential blueberry usage in categories

2. Trade barriers

3. Potential Users

4. Trade Volume and statistics

5. Opportunities identified

6. Recommendations

7. Steps for market development

 

The assessment will be conducted over an 8 month period and a final report will be  collaborated with the Project manager at the end of the assessment.   The consultant will be available for debriefing during the three month period after the completion of the market assessment.
