Remember 15 years ago, when you walked down the baby-food section of the local supermarket.    Yes-- there was a wall of small jars of multi-colored purees including yams, banana, and cereal porridges. 

Beam forward today and see a massive and growing baby section with gourmet chef inspired formulas, brekfast, lunch, dinner, snacks -- specialty foods, ethnic foods and most importantly health foods.   We have organics, fair trade, rain forest friendly and even biodynamics!    

Fact is: nowhere else in the food industry is image of product and package as important as in baby foods.

This is why more than 1,000 new baby food products have been introduced worldwide since 2010.   Most have been overseas but the trend is on the rise in North America too!  Watch this category grow!

The Baby food market is on the rise and so is blueberry use in the category.

We are seeing blueberries integrated into all segments of the baby food market including traditional jars, pouches, fresh entrees and specialty items such as snacks, desserts and items for health and wellness.



Currently the value of the US Baby Food Sales in the USA is projected to top $50 billion in 2016


The main reason for the explosive growth?  Direct market connection to emerging markets worldwide.   Consumers from throuughout the world look to baby food products produced in North America and Europe as a safe choice.   Food scandals involving baby foods have accelerated this demand!
